The Victoria
Police* definition of a Missing Person
is:
-
Any
person reported to police whose whereabouts are unknown; and
-
There
are fears for the safety or concern of the welfare of that person,
including any person from an institution.
Over
7,000 people are reported missing in Victoria every year and there
are over 500 long-term missing persons. Rewards posted by Victoria
police and government have only been offered for 5 of these cases.

A 53 year old Northcote man who was last seen leaving his law office
at Avondale Heights on 28 May 2000. Julian Michael Clarke, Sudo Cavkic
and Costas Athanasi were subsequently found guilty of Keith's murder
but his body has never been found. The three convicted killers have
launched a number of appeals against their convictions and are now
appealing the High Court for a retrial. Please click on the image

A 16 year old male who was last seen leaving his Mooroopna home late
afternoon on Anzac Day 25 April 2005. He was later lured into a carpark
and tortured to death. In May 2008 Jamie Leslie Sumner was convicted
of Raymond's murder in The Victorian Supreme Court, but has failed
to divulge the location of Raymond's body. |

on the evening of the 18 August 2002. On June 4 2008, a coronial inquest
found that Kath Bergamin was deceased but the identity of her killer
is unknown.

woman with a magical quality. I think about you everyday. I have
cried so many silent tears that I imagine there are none left but

you would be travelling the world as we dreamed when we were young.
Kellie at the prime of your youth - an amazing young woman - now
disappeared without a trace. It has been gut wrenching without you,

A 59 year old father of 2 and the 17th Prime Minister of Australia
who went missing after snorkelling at Cheviot Beach Point Nepean in
the early afternoon on 17 December 1967. Cheviot Beach was notorious
for its strong currents and dangerous rip tides. In September 2005
the Victorian State Coroner found that Harold Holt had drowned in
accidental circumstances. His body was never recovered.
